One of the things that ties the Hawke’s Bay together from a viticultural perspective, also creates some of its diversity. The braided rivers that weave across its plains. These rivers have helped etch the terraced walls of our vineyards and ushered the alluvial stone gravels to the plains. As these stones bask in plentiful sunshine, vine roots edge beneath to find nutrients. It is these processes that create the unique environment in which our vines flourish.
